Until recently most had never heard of Pousse Cafe. Originally a Pousse Cafe was a basic after dinner cordial. The Miriam-Webster dictionary defines it as “coffee chaser”, and cites the first known use in 1862. Recently it has evolved into a layered trendy party drink with multiple flavors.

For many Americans, Cinco de Mayo means enjoying Mexican food and drinks. Interestingly, some research firms report that Americans buy more beer for Cinco de Mayo than for the Super Bowl or St. Patrick`s Day.
