Until recently most had never heard of Pousse Cafe. Originally a Pousse Cafe was a basic after dinner cordial. The Miriam-Webster dictionary defines it as “coffee chaser”, and cites the first known use in 1862. Recently it has evolved into a layered trendy party drink with multiple flavors.
